Father God, there is no wisdom in this world that measures up to the wisdom which is from above. Your wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruit, without partiality and without hypocrisy. By this definition we can discern whether we follow your wisdom, or the wisdom of the world. Your wisdom always leads to peace for all concerned. Your wisdom always glorifies you through Jesus Christ our beloved Savior. You have made him to be wisdom unto us so we can be partakers of your peace. Your peace allows us to enter into your rest, your presence. Thank you, Lord for providing it all, for all who are following the Spirit and lean not unto their own understanding. Yeah, Lord, we rejoice in Jesus! We praise his most holy name. All glory, honor and power belong to you, Abba! Amen

Philippians 4:4

"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice!"

Father God, what a beautiful command you have given us. Rejoice! It seems so simple, yet our flesh fights often against it, especially when we are trapped in a difficult situation. Why do we depend so much on outward appearances to be able to thank and praise and honor you? We repent of such foolish attitudes. No matter what we go through, you are always worthy to be thanked and praised. May we keep our minds stayed on Jesus and our hearts fixed on the cross, where Jesus gave us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that we might be trees of righteousness the planting of the Lord, so you, dear Abba will always be glorified. We can rejoice in this truth no matter our condition, and we do rejoice. We can always be thankful, and we thank you today and for ever more, for your marvelous grace is great to cover all our needs. John 16:13

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."

Abba Father, just as Jesus promised the Spirit of truth has come and if we have an ear to hear and open our spiritual eyes, we can be informed. We trust the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. We rely on him to convey to us what you say and what you reveal for the days ahead. May we faithfully remove all clutter from our minds, set a watch before our mouth and set no wicked things before our eyes, so we will be tuned in only to what the Spirit of truth speaks to the church and to individuals in our days. Abba our very lives depend on it. We bring all our thoughts, reasons, arguments and cares into subjection to your word and to your will, so we will be able to move forward at a moments notice. We are so glad to trust in Jesus, taking his word to be a yeah and amen, all for your glory, most holy Lord - Amen

John 17:18

"As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world."

Father God, our hearts are in awe that we are so privileged to know how Jesus prayed intimately to you. He cast all his cares upon you. He knows the world and its hatred toward all that is godly. He is acquainted with rejection, grief and physical violence against him. So he knows what awaits us as we follow him into the ministry of reconciliation. The darker the world gets, the more we know that we are in the world, but no longer of it. We don't fit. We don't belong. We have become aliens in this world. Thank you Abba, for Jesus' intercession on our behalf, for he knows what awaits us. Nevertheless even as he has been obedient to all your instructions, may we in turn obey the Holy Spirit in all his guidance and instructions. May each and every believer fulfill the course you have set before us - bringing glory and honor to your most holy name, is our prayer. In Jesus name may the good news of the gospel be preached to all before the dispensation of grace draws to a close. So be it - Amen

Psalm 119:79

"Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies."

Abba Father what a joy it is to find unexpected fellowship with strangers. Sometimes it seems that you orchestrate such meetings to help us grow and mature, or that you use us to give testimony and encouragement in the same way the Holy Spirit ministered it to us. Your unequaled joy is always the end result of such chance encounters. It is at that precise moment that we realize the mystery of the Body of Christ more tangibly. Lord, please continue to have those who fear you turn to us and share their testimony; just as you send us to testify of your goodness and mercy which endures for ever. The bond of your love is around all your people holding us tight together in Jesus. Yeah! Halleluiah!

Isaiah 26:3

Abba Father, you are our Jehovah Shalom. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. His sacrifice purchased the peace that passes all understanding. Abba, we are acquainted with strife, anger, pain, war, and fear which has entered the world when sin was committed by Adam and Eve. We all fall short of your glory and have contributed our share of sin and pain. Nevertheless Jesus has made an end of it all. Through him we are reconciled to you. The enmity is broken. So with hearts of thanksgiving and lips filled with praise we enter into your presence, where there is love, peace and joy unspeakable. We look to you, and have our minds focused on your word and your way. It is so good to finally be able to trust without reservation or hesitation, like a little child trusts the parents. It is amazing how your peace floods our soul when we surrender all to you. It is well with our soul in that very instant - no more doubt, no more fear, no more.... All glory, all honor, all power is yours for ever Amen

Abba Father, we thank and praise you for your magnificent plans you have for the future of the saints. We thank you that we are not alone on this journey. You have given us the Holy Spirit to accompany us. You have given us brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who help polish our rough edges so we can become precious, lively gem stones. Thank you for your word that is the sure foundation we can stand on. Thank you for the innumerable company of ministering angels who watch over us and do your bidding. Although we are painfully aware that we are far from perfect and in constant need for further maturity, we do trust your faithfulness to complete that which concerns us. Abba, we yield to your will and to your way, acknowledging that your way is the only way that brings the desired results. Thank you that the thoughts you have towards us are for good and not for evil or harm, so we do have a hope and a future. Yes, Lord our future is secure in Christ Jesus - Amen and Halleluiah!

Abba Father, the unique relationship of the Trinity is one of the most precious in the entire universe. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are distinct in nature and in office, yet they are one. Who can comprehend it all? Jesus prayed for us to be one with you, with him and with the Holy Spirit as well as with other fellow believers. This is his ultimate desire. O Father, hear his prayer! Thank you that we have been given to Jesus, who is the head of the Body of believers. How awesome to know that no one and nothing can pluck us out of your hand. Great are you Lord and greatly to be praised in the mountain of your holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole world is in Jesus, in his finished work on Calvary. Yes Lord! We rejoice in Him, our beloved Savior and Lord. We rejoice in you, Abba, the everlasting Father. We rejoice in the Holy Spirit, revealer of truth, preparing us for the sacred unity Jesus has prayed for. So be it - Amen Halleluiah!

Father God, your perfect plan of salvation has been in place from the foundation of the world. Our life time on earth is but a fleeting moment, but you wanted us to be yours in all eternity. You have chosen us in Christ Jesus to be your beloved children. Jesus bridged the gap that was caused by sin, which separated us from you. He paid the price no one, except him could pay, through shedding his pure, life-sustaining blood on the cross for the sin of the world. His holy blood makes us holy and without blame, so we can stand in his righteousness before your presence, basking in your love. As your love permeates our being, may we generously pass it on to others this day and in all our tomorrows. We rest in your love! Thank you, heavenly Father, for the true power of your love manifesting here on earth. Glory!

Isaiah 43:2

"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

Holy Father God, the promises of your word quickens our faith. Although we may feel like drowning in the multitudes of words the world hurls at us every day. Their words are opposed to your truth; they are producing fear, anger, confusion, hopelessness. Their fruit is poison to our spirit. Thank you Abba for the promise that we shall not be overcome by them, for you are with us. Jesus himself promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Thank you Abba that even the fiery darts of the enemy shall not harm us. Sometimes we walk through fire of circumstances beyond our control, yet like Daniel we have come through without being singed because you protected us in supernatural ways, that were higher than the natural expectations. Father, thank you that you have not given us the spirit of fear; but you gave us a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind. In Jesus name we resist all fears and anxieties today by looking unto Jesus. Our hope and our help come through him. Glory - Halleluiah!

Isaiah 63:1

"Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save."

Father God, we thank and praise you for Jesus, your Son, our Savior who has come with his garments dipped in his precious blood to proclaim the victory over sin and death. He moves in greatness and power. He is mighty to save. His righteousness has become ours through faith in the work of the cross. O Lord, how magnificent is our Savior, who reigns in the beauty of holiness. Your faithfulness is unto all generations. Your steadfast love never ceases. We rest in that love and are at peace.! Job 42:2

“I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee."

Father God, in these days many believers go through Job-like situations where the bad news hits them hard and heavy. It seems that their whole lives are caving in without any end in sight. We too are surrounded by well meaning friends and counselors that only share platitudes and worldly advice in which there is no power to overcome. Like Job, we try to deal with it and end up before your throne of mercy and grace. There we come into your presence and finally realize that only you can do everything. None of our thoughts and heart attitudes can hide from you. To you we are an open book. Thank you, Abba for your longsuffering, your mercy and grace. Like Job, we profess that we know that our Redeemer lives and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. Maranatha! Amen

James 2:1

"My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons."

Abba Father, day after day you instruct us and correct our worldly mindset. One of the most difficult principles is the principle of judging. We are so used to judge by outward appearances or position and success that we often find ourselves at odds with your word. You however want us to judge righteous judgment, irregardless of a person's place in society. Forgive us for any snap judgments based on our senses or information of a person's position in life. You care about the heart issues, which we can only obtain by the Holy Spirit. You are just and desire for us to be just. Abba, we want to do your will. By your grace we can do all things through Christ. May we truly reflect Christ-like attitudes of love, honor and respect in all our interactions in the body of Christ to bring glory to your holy name. Amen

Galatians 6:10

"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."

Heavenly Father, Jesus told us that there is no one who is good, except you. So any goodness we show, and any kindness we express is truly a small reflection of you. It is your goodness which works repentance. We agree with our Brother Paul that we should use every opportunity to do good unto all, be they friends, family, strangers or even foes. Let us not forget our brothers and sisters in Christ at home and abroad. Abba, it gives us great joy to be your hand extended in our time as the age of grace is drawing to a close. Since the needs are so great, we trust the Holy Spirit to show us where, when and how to do your bidding, so you receive much glory, honor and praise. We love you and praise you for making us useful vessels in your kingdom. Yeah! You are so good to all - Amen

Genesis 35:3

"And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went."

Holy Father God, we come with grateful hearts before your throne of grace in worship and adoration. You have done and continue to do great things in our lives that are undisputable miracles. The first miracle all your children remember is the miracle of salvation which caused us to be new creatures in Christ Jesus. It turned us from darkness to light, from sin to righteousness, and from death to eternal life. Glory! The example of Jacob building an altar of remembrance to in Bethel is for us to emulate, lest we forget all that you have done for us over our life time. It is so easy to take things for granted, but altars of remind us to remain thankful, to not grumble when things are tough, and that you are with us never leaving nor forsaking us. Gracious Lord, may we return often to the time and place where you touched our lives in the most tangible way with love, power, wisdom and divine interventions and linger in your presence worshipping you in spirit and in truth, with thanksgiving - Amen

Hebrews 13:15

"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."

Abba Father, sometimes it is difficult to muster up genuine praise, because our hearts are heavy with thoughts, reasons, arguments, swirling about our minds. Circumstances in our own lives or in the lives of loved ones and friends occupy our minds and divert attention away from you. Nevertheless we want to obey and we will start to offer the sacrifice of praise. You are worthy of all praise at all times, not only when things go well and life is good, but even more so when all is upside down and hard to understand. One thing that is steadfast in this ever changing world is your love; your promises which are yeah and amen in Christ Jesus; your word, which is true and changes not. You are our Rock and our Fortress, therefore we do thank you by continuously offering the fruit of our lips praising your most holy name. There is little else we can do to please you, except walking by faith and not by sight, trusting the leading of the Holy Spirit. All glory, all honor, all power is yours heavenly Father - Amen

Job 42:2

Father God, to come to the realization that you can do and even will do every thing is an awesome experience. We suddenly feel care free, and a heavy weight drops off our hearts and shoulders. We are at peace; our minds are calm as lakes on a wind still day. Thank you that you even know our innermost being. We cannot withhold our thoughts from you. O let the words of our mouth and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable to you heavenly Father. Lord, you are good and your mercy endures for ever. We worship you. 2 Corinthians 3:4-6

Father God in heaven above, we thank and give you praise that you have infused to us such trust in you through Christ, that our whole outlook on life has changed from negative thinking to an enduring hope that all is well with our soul, our life, our future. Truly our sufficiency is of you, who have made us able ministers of the good news of salvation. We have come to know and understand that it is not of might or power, but by your Spirit that we function to the best of our God-given abilities. Your Spirit gives life to all who take time to listen and obey. May we faithfully spread this new life in Christ Jesus to all who cross our path, we pray - in Jesus everlasting name - Amen

Isaiah 45:24

"It will be said of me, 'Certainly, righteousness and strength are found in the Lord alone.' All who are angry with him will come to him and be ashamed."

Abba Father, as the years pass by it becomes clearer and clearer that there is no righteousness in humanity, unless it originates with you. There is also no true, enduring strength except in you. It is foolish to trust in our own strength, which dwindles so quickly. No power on earth lasts. All earthly power comes to a humiliating end. Those who cry loudly that there is no God, and who mock and persecute and even kill in order to silence our witness will one day come to you in shame. We pray that those adversaries would humble themselves in their life time and repent, just like the Roman soldier did at the cross, saying, truly this is the Son of God. Father, you desire that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance to the only Savior - Jesus. So we pray today for our adversaries in Jesus life-saving name - Amen

Matthew 10:32

"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."

Holy Abba Father, with joy we testify that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. We are so blessed by your love that we can hardly contain it and must pass the good news of being a new creature in Christ, forgiven, cleansed with new understanding. Everything indeed has become new. As we observe the world and the hostility it spews out against you and Jesus Christ your Son, we become aware that the times are changing and fewer and fewer want to hear the good news, nor will they tolerate our presence. Nevertheless we trust your great and abundant grace to give us the courage and the wisdom to remain steadfast to the end confessing Jesus. He is our life. He is the way and the truth. We will lean on him, who endured rejection, suffering and death on our behalf. By faith in Him we too will endure, because we trust the Holy Spirit to show us the way. Though none go with us, still we will follow - no turning back, no turning back. Yeah! Your joy O Lord, which you set before us will be our strength, whom shall we fear? Amen and Halleluiah!

Luke 18:27

"And he said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God."

Abba Father, we come before you rejoicing, offering the sacrifice of praise. there is not one of your children who has not experienced what it feels like when we are faced with insurmountable circumstances that suck all strength, and faith out of us, until the Holy Spirit, or your Word, or the caring touch of a believer comes alongside and lifts up our head, pointing to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Lord, how are they increased that trouble us! There are more and more who rise up against us. Many are those who say to our soul, there is no help for us in God. But you, O LORD, are a shield for us; our glory, and the lifter of our heads. We cry aloud unto you, LORD, and you hear us out of your holy throne. Yes, we believe that our impossibilities are your possibilities which ultimately bring glory, honor and praise to your name drawing many into your presence and to the cross. We believe, help our unbelief, we pray today - in Jesus name - Amen

Luke 18:7

Abba Father, longsuffering is a characteristic you exemplify, which few of us can muster. Forgive us our impatience with you, our brothers and sisters, ourselves and unbelievers alike. Somehow we want change for the better NOW, irregardless of consequences to others. We act like spoiled children with tantrums or pouty attitudes. We whine and cry and get angry. Not a pretty sight! Nevertheless your word assures us that you do hear us. You are acquainted with our plight and you will avenge us in time - just in time to do the most good for all involved. So we drop all our longstanding cares into your lap with anticipation that you will resolve the unsolvable, heal the impossible, forgive the unthinkable, save the unlovable, deliver those steeped in rebellion. For nothing absolutely nothing is impossible with you. Your name shall be glorified through it all. We thank you today for all that you will do in the unrighteous cases your children have entrusted to you. Yes, Lord your will shall become manifest - in Jesus most holy name - Amen

Isaiah 7:4

"And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted ..."

Abba Father, these comforting words you sent to Ahaz through the Prophet Isaiah are like words the Holy Spirit speaks directly into our hearts today when we go through a period of distress. O such words work wonders in our anxious hearts and thought- bombarded minds. They are like a soothing balm. They are full of power which gives us courage to face and do the unthinkable. They quiet the storm in our minds so we can focus again and make decisions in line with your word and with your will. They open our hearts to receive your perspective on things. With renewed courage we can face the same circumstances and move forward and watch how you remove obstacles, change hearts, shed light on issues we could not face. The mountains of doubt dwindle into heaps we can step over and walk into the next phase of our journey of faith with renewed trust and faith and spiritual understanding. Our cup overflows with thanks and praise for the victory you grant us in Christ Jesus - Halleluiah.

Psalm 37:23-24

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand."

Father God, in heaven above we are utterly amazed how you deal with us. You call us good, not because it is within us to be good, but because Christ in us is our hope of glory. When you see us - you see us in him who gave his life so we can be your children. You order our steps so we will change from glory to glory into the image and likeness of your dear Son, which is a delight to you. As we begin to reflect Jesus more and more it becomes a delight to us as well. Many of your children have fallen now and again, but you never count us out. Your right hand of righteousness retrieves us and upholds us. You soothe our cuts and bruises with the calming balm of Gilead. You heal our sicknesses and diseases. We do not lack any good thing that pertains to life and godliness, for you are our Jehovah Jireh. We lift our hands in praise and offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Our hearts are overwhelmed by your steadfast love which never ceases. Great is your faithfulness, O Lord God our Father! Glory! Glory! Glory!

Ezekiel 36:27

Most Holy Father God, every word of prophecy you have given by your faithful servants and have been recorded, have been either fulfilled to the minutest detail or will soon come to fulfillment. For none of your words will ever fail and be without power. Thank you that the words spoken by Ezekiel have been and continue to be fulfilled in every child of God that came in obedience to the cross of Christ, receiving salvation by faith. O Lord without the Holy Spirit within us, who causes us to walk in obedience to your will and to your word we would still be in darkness and confusion and without hope. Thank you, Abba, for such loving, tender care. Thank you, Jesus, for being our good Shepherd caring for the sheep. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for leading, guiding, teaching and convicting us daily, so we will remain on the path of righteousness our heavenly Father has mapped out for us. John 3:17

O Father God we rejoice that there no condemnation to those who accepted that free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ you Son. Abba, you desire that none should perish, but that all should come to faith in Christ Jesus. Thank you for such undeserved mercy and love. Our life is filled with your goodness and favor if we but magnify what you reveal to our spirit. Sadly we tend to magnify our woes and thereby miss what you have prepared or us. Lord we magnify your word. We magnify your name. We magnify your promises, your wisdom, and your power. For it all eclipses our cares. Therefore with thanksgiving we cast them upon you, trusting that having given us Jesus you will take care of all else which concerns us. So we worship you, we lift up your name. There is no other name by which men can be saved. We glorify you in the beauty of holiness - Amen and halleluiah!

Galatians 2:20

Abba Father, thank you that all your children are walking miracles. It is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us and the life that we now live is by the faith of Jesus our savior who loves us and gave himself for us. . May we live accordingly a crucified life, focused on Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit walking in the light as he is in the light. May all our actions and words befit the kingdom of God bringing glory to your most holy name. To You Abba be the glory for the things you have planned from the beginning and they shall become fully established to the very last jot and title. Halleluiah, Amen

Father God from the very beginning your life-giving word planted the measure of faith into our hearts which took us to the Cross of Christ in repentance. You infused us with your incomparable love. May we never lose sight of that precious beginning for it is the anchor for our soul. As we abide in you and your words abide in us we shall be able to walk by faith instead of leaning unto out own understanding. May we steadfastly fix our eyes on Jesus following him in your will and on your ways so we may fully comprehend the mysteries of our faith in all its power and glory, we ask this with thanksgiving in Jesus all empowering name - Amen

Matthew 6:34

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof"

Father God, How true that you know our innermost being and nothing is hid from you. You see beyond our smiles and words that declare all is fine, when it is not. You know our tendency to be anxious and worried. You also know the tactics of the enemy of our soul who loves to feed us thoughts which cause us to get into fear. Thankfully it is not you who has given us such fear, for from you we receive power, love and a sound mind. So why do we take thoughts that cause fear? Why do we allow these thoughts to take hold in our hearts and mind? The fears they produce bring torment doubt and squash our faith. Dear Abba Jesus taught us to not take those kinds of thoughts. Most holy Father God, your mercy, your power, your love are all tangible gifts you have for us as we receive the Holy Spirit whom you sent into our lives beginning at Pentecost until you bring us up hither when we will be completed heirs with Christ Jesus in glory. It is your Holy Spirit within who shows us all things and leads us into all truth and guides us in the steps we should take. He reveals to us the mysteries of our most holy faith, just as Jesus promised. He even gives us words to speak when we are confronted by authorities. There is no need to be tongue-tied. Abba, forgive us for quenching the Holy Spirit or worse yet grieving him by suppressing the work he desires to accomplish through us. We repent of all sorts of all fears and anxieties that hinder the free flow of your will through our lives. Melt our hardened hearts; mold us in the image of Jesus; fill us once again with the oil of gladness and power; use us for your glory, we pray in Jesus name of love and power. If such an experience is so grand here on earth, what must it be like around your throne of grace when all the saints and hosts of heaven join in the celestial chorus, declaring that our God reigns? In great anticipation of becoming part of that mighty multitude making itself ready for the marriage supper of the Lamb, we rejoice in the here and now and are glad to declare that the Lord God omnipotent reigns. We thank you for that perfect plan - the resurrection - when in your power and love you were not only reunited with your Son, our Lord, but he brought with him those who put their faith in Jesus, the Savior. Our human nature is wicked. We all have sinned and fall short of your glory. We need a Savior. Your only begotten Son, Jesus, the spotless Lamb, became the once and for all sacrifice, who took away the sin of the world, so we could be saved from the deadly consequence of sin. Thank you for adopting us in him. Now that we are reconciled to you, you send us on a mission as well, so we would proclaim your kingdom and introduce people to their Savior, our Lord Jesus.

Thankfully we can meet anywhere by two or three or in a multitude in buildings or in the open air. You even send your Holy Spirit within us so we might better commune with you, for he helps us pray and instructs us in your ways and in your word. We long for his presence. Heavenly Father we appreciate you and thank you that you withhold nothing which concerns us. In our day it appeared that such serious persecutions were a distant threat. In recent years however the joy of being a believer is being tempered by the ever-increasing opposition and the real possibility of severe persecution, even the threat that our faith might be tried to the point of death. Already many brethren around the world have given their lives for their faith and joined the saints in the hall of faith. May we brace ourselves by clinging to the cross of Christ and receive your amazing grace which will sustain us day by day. Father God, it is amazing how you make yourself known to us. We all have stories to tell when you first touched our lives. How you caused us to pause in the midst of our lives and reevaluate our opinions, reevaluate our choices and direct our thoughts toward righteousness and truth. Just like Jesus redirected Levi's life that day, so you still cause people to change direction, which leads us to Christ Jesus and the cross. After we have decided to follow Jesus and we begin to walk in the new and living way, we realize that there is no turning back - no turning back. Even when we fall or walk through the valley of the shadow of death, our good shepherd is with us, lifting us up, strengthening our resolve to continue; for it is he who gives us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and gives us the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Yes, Lord, with all our heart we thank you for having knocked on the door of our heart and invited us to come. Abba Father, you are from everlasting to everlasting. There is none like you. However many of your children are having the very life choked out of them, through severe sickness, financial crisis, joblessness, broken hearts and are simply so overwhelmed with the cares of this world that they feel forsaken. They feel that you stand afar off or have turned your face away from them. Abba, we tend to become very short sighted when trouble stares us in the face and we seem to have no answers, nor find a way of escape. A wall of fear and anxiety rises up quickly blinding us on every side and our faith shrinks at the sight of it. Nevertheless you are God and you change not. May we remember you and your word that assures us that the thoughts and plans you have toward us are for good and not for evil or harm, so we will have a hope and a future. In your sovereignty and power you do turn all things together for good. In desperation we cling to the hem of your garment with expectations for change that glorifies you. To combat the shortsightedness may we set your word daily before us; meditate in it; believe in it; and trust you to fulfill it; for none of your words are without power. You watch over them that they will not return unto you void. Thank you, Lord for lifting our downcast faces and showing us the glorious path of redemption. Promises, promises - the world is full of promises that have been broken and lost their meaning and value. Broken marriages, contracts, treaties and the like abound, leaving behind broken hearts, broken families, distrust, anger, cynicism, and death. O heavenly Father, no wonder it is difficult in our generation to even trust your promises, because experience has taught us to mistrust and doubt. To our aching hearts your promises sound to be too good to be true. And yet in your long-suffering faithfulness you win our hearts and allow us to taste and see your goodness in a very personal way. Your promises are indeed yes and amen in Christ Jesus. As your children may we be careful to keep any promises we make in order to help others develop trust and faith, even when the keeping of it would become a disadvantage to us. By your great grace learning to keep our promises helps us believe your awesome promises. Thank you Father, you are the only promise maker who is also a promise keeper. It gladdens our heart to trust in you. Father God, we acknowledge our utter need to learn your way of communicating that is truthful, full of wisdom and peace and love. Abba Father, how great is your love. You gave your very best - your only begotten Son, out of love for this fallen world. No matter how hard anybody tries to be holy, there is no way that we could be so in our own efforts. For thousands of years mankind has craved to be holy and has created manifold religious systems in the process. They all end up in failure. There is only one way to achieve holiness - it is your way. The true way is through your gift of love, as exemplified by your Son - our Savior. O Lord, our Lord how excellent is your way in all the world. We agree with you that because you first loved us we ought to love one another. And by the grace of your Holy Spirit we indeed can do so, for he shed your love abroad into our hearts to enable us to love, even the world will take notice. We shall be known by our love. This world is running out of love, so they desperately cling to the Eros kind of love to their own destruction. Only your agape love will bring life and wholeness to a broken people. May we be extenders of your love to all who seek true love and wholeness, after their world has crushed down around them. Our hearts cry for our unsaved loved ones, is just one of those prayer requests we need to be confident about, because it is your express desire that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance. In Christ Jesus all your precious promises are Yeah and in him Amen, and that all for your glory. May we be diligent in determining your will so we will ask with confidence and full assurance of faith and receive the petitions we plead for. Father God, truly you call us to higher standards in our daily life than the standard accepted in this world. We used to treat others as they treat us, but in this new and living way to which we are called, we are to reflect you, just as Jesus demonstrated, while he lived among men. He taught us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us and pray for those who treat us unrighteously. All that goes against our human nature, yet you expect us to do contrary to our human nature, because you have given us a new nature in which we can live according to your will and become adept in your ways that are higher than the ways of this world. Truly we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Abba, forgive our lame excuses, that we are only human and therefore can't live up to your expectations. We desire to be all that you call us to be in order to bring glory, honor and praise to your most holy name - Amen

O Father God, how great is the darkness, you took us out of. Sometimes we can hardly believe that we were captive to this fallen world. Dear Father thank you, for Jesus who paid the price to redeem us out of the slavery, the captivity, the bondage of sin, and setting us free to become the children of light in your glorious kingdom. May we walk in the light as Jesus in the light to have fellowship one with the other, as the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. It is you who comforts us in all situations, yet we get so easily intimidated by mere man. Quicken us, dear Father to your word to remind us that mere man will die and can do no more harm. He will fade away like grass, wilt and be forgotten. You are our everlasting Father. Jesus, our King will rule for ever. The Holy Spirit in us is greater than he who is in the world. Glory! Thank you that you have not given us the spirit of fear, but have given us power, love and a sound mind to combat the fiery darts of the enemy. Abba Father, we thank you for the gift of speech and communication. Sadly our thoughts and attitudes often misuse that gift to cause destruction and pain, rather than edification and good will. We long for that pure language - your language rooted and grounded in your agape love and truth. Such language will accomplish much for the unity of spirit Jesus pleaded for in his prayer for the believers. May it start with the prayer language as we call upon your name. May we come to serve you and those you bring into our lives with a pure heart of love, speaking truth in love, united in the goal of goals - bringing glory to you - dear Father in heaven. Forgive us our self-centeredness, merciful Father. With overwhelming calamities happening on many fronts at the same time it is difficult to find out when and where and how we are to help. Thankfully, we can turn to you in prayer and supplications, with thanksgiving, for you are not the author of confusion, but of peace. May we rest in your peace and trust the Holy Spirit to direct our thoughts into the appropriate actions. Above all may it all be done in your love. May we steadfastly gather together in worship, in the study of your word and share the burdens needing help in these days of trouble. Abba, may you be glorified in the midst of your people. Abba, each and everybody who calls upon your holy name is one of the many wonders in this world. Father we consider it a mighty wonder that we are alive in Christ Jesus, for our life turned around and we have become new creatures in Him who died for us. Not only have you shown your strength in times past, but you are the same today, declaring your strength among the people. Sadly many attribute the strength to others, for they refuse to neither acknowledge you nor honor you. We lift our voice in praise and appreciation. How great are you Lord! How great is your name! All power, all glory, all wisdom and peace belongs to you, Abba Father. Most holy Abba Father, by the Holy Spirit and your servants we have indeed heard of Jesus and been taught that the truth is in Jesus. We have come to know him most intimately after we were born again of the Spirit. Yes Lord, we are changing from glory to glory, as we in obedience take off our former filthy rags and put on Jesus. We acknowledge that our old man is corrupt, full of lust and mischief. We desire to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. Help us to let go even of that which we deem good and profitable, but is in conflict with your pure righteousness. Thank you for your Word of truth that washes our mind and the blood of Jesus which cleanses our soul from all sin.
